After the launch of Buxton Contemporary, Melbourne’s newest contemporary art museum at the University of Melbourne’s Southbank Campus, Michael Buxton AM has commenced a new collection, Buxton International. Built around the same framework as The Michael Buxton Collection, but now expanded to include international artists, Buxton International acquires significant works of art by leading and influential contemporary artists who have demonstrated excellence and made a significant contribution to contemporary art practice.
